The St Joseph's Cathedral has always been an important symbol and a focus point for celebrations in the Catholic community in the Diocese of Rockhampton around Christmas.

Although this highly celebrated Christmas period in the past has been predominately celebrated by the Catholic parishes, commencing in 2017, the Cathedral Parish of St Joseph chose to share these celebrations through an event which can be appreciated by the wider community. 

 

Using a special new state of the art projection technology, we are able to produce a Christmas themed animated 3D show, using the century old heritage listed St Joseph's Cathedral architecture as the creative canvas for this spectacular event.

 

The Cathedral Parish has partnered with illuminart Stories in Light to help bring this one of a kind production to the Rockhampton community. 

 

These partners have many years of experience in delivering similar large-scale productions, which use creative digital storytelling and custom designed animated artwork to accentuate different types of urban architecture to provide an engaging community building experience.
